Our Client is one of the largest meat distributors in Australia and currently have vacancies available undergoing preventative maintenance on a range of semi and fully automated food processing and packaging machinery.
There will be a range of scheduled maintenance, breakdown work, fault finding/troubleshooting, commissioning of new machines, and installs/repairs.
You could also be working closely with other maintenance teams on site. Would need to be happy working around food and being within a cold environment.What's on offer:

Site and Position Information:
- Full time: Permanent Role
- Wacol Location: Brisbane Western Suburb
- SHIFT: Afternoon shift - 3.30 PM to 11:30 PM - 15% shift loading for afternoon shift.
- Monday to Friday + Weekend OT
About You:
- Certificate III or above qualifications in hydraulics or pneumatics; and/or
- Certificate IV Engineering Mechanical Special Class; and/or
- Certificate IV Fluid Power (Pneumatics)
- Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills.
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures.
- Confined Space and BA Competence highly (Desired)
- Ability to MIG and TIG Weld Stainless steel highly (Desired)
- Forklift Ticket highly (Desired)
- Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced modern manufacturing environment FMCG (food experience would be highly regarded although not essential)
What we are looking for:
- Experience with in the food manufacturing industry (Desired)
- Exposure to automation (Essential)
- Australian Recognised Trade Qualification as a Maintenance Fitter (Essential)
- Proven experience on both breakdown and preventative maintenance
- Fault finding and problem solving skills and experience
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Commitment to quality and detail
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work within a cold environment (Beat the Heat this SUMMER)
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Able to undertake a functionality assessment
- Must have FULL Australian Working rights
- Available Monday to Friday
- Available for immediate start
