Mechanical Smp Engineer

We are partnered with a well-known national brand for the recruitment of a Mechanical SMP Engineer, to work on an expansion project.

This project scope is due to run for circa 18 months and will commence in April. You'll work Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, down at this company's Kwinana site. That means you'll be home every night - no more long days - a role with true work/life balance.

In this role, you'll provide support for the Project Structural Mechanical & Piping (SMP) engineering design, execution, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of the Project - and provide project support to the operations.

The role will be required to interface with the engineering contractor as part of the 'owner's team'.

You'll be responsible for:

• Review SMP discipline EPCM activities and deliverables
• Work with the EPCM to achieve SMP scheduled activities on budget and time
• Assist the SMP Lead in managing technical project risks through the life of the project
• Manage and implement changes through the Management of Change (MOC) process.
• Mechanical and Piping assistance support during construction, erection and mechanical completion, including commissioning.
• Support the SMP Lead to address technical and project risks.
• Provide technical information to EPCM via Technical Queries (TQs)
• Develop procedures that integrate project changes into the existing operation

Prior to commencing, you'll need to provide a current police clearance and pass a D&A test - but we can talk you through that process.
