Category 5 Port Hedland are currently seeking a Mechanical Supervisor. The role revolves the safe delivery of all maintenance work within the workshop, health and safety management plan and maintenance operating policies to be managed and carried out. DutiesAs part of the role, your main responsibilities and experience will include but aren’t limited too:
- Ensure that all mechanical/ auto electrical works performed are done so in a safe manner in line with company standards and policies and Safety Management Plan.
- Daily communication and reporting as required by the Business Unit.
- Monitor and report on job costs and hours.
- Approve scopes/ quotes and update variations on works as required.
- Approve timesheets, check correct hours are being booked to correct jobs.
- QAQC paperwork, get the floor to complete, sign off as completed, save in s-drive and share to client as required.
- Manage work force manning levels to match the changing schedule requirements including approving leave.
- Effectively manage all maintenance personnel, Force and subcontractors working within the Workshop.
- Carry out daily PASS and PSI (Pre-Shift Information) meetings and record outcomes.
- Ensure monthly toolbox talks are held to discuss and record all current relevant issues.
- Excellent time management and planning skills.
- Great work ethic and technical knowledge.
- Manage work priorities within the workshop to provide timely preparation of equipment that meets agreed delivery schedules.
- Ensure all workshop tooling is maintained.
- Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Current valid Full C Class Driver License
- Mechanical Supervisory Experience
- Ability to pass a medical, drug and alcohol screen
- Clear Police Clearance
