We are currently seeking 2 Experienced Mechanical Supervisors with an excellent knowledge of crushing practices for our client, a leading Mining Crushing Services Provider.
This is a long-term position starting in a casual capacity and then full time working directly for our client.
The position offers security, longevity and genuine career progression.
You will provide leadership and guidance to all trades and supporting staff to maintain and monitor crushing plant infrastructure.
You will be supported in the role and encouraged to guide and develop your team with an emphasis on safe practices and high standards.
Duties of the role include and are not limited to:
• Develop and maintain a consistent level of professionalism on the project, be proactive in the field and visible to the project’s stakeholders.
• Ensure administrative duties are completed accurately, professionally and in a timely manner, delivered by due dates and informative.
• Determine the requirements for plant, equipment, and labour to ensure an efficient project.
• Produce progress and attainment reports as per the agreed schedule
• Incidents are reported in a timely manner and comply with Client reporting
standards.
• Achieve and maintain the highest standard of housekeeping in all areas of the business.
• Be engaging in daily shift pre-start meetings, convey safety and operational strategies with all staff.
• Safeguard the Work Health and Safety of all persons who are involved with our business operation in accordance with the WHS Act 2020 and WHS Regulations 2022.
• Alert the project Superintendent to any serious incidents or events (and Client representative) as soon as practicably possible, escalate communications via the escalation’s matrix to senior company leaders.
• Actively participate and drive the continuous improvement and innovation of existing work practices.
About you:
Metal trades (Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker) qualification or equivalent. Professional knowledge gained through significant experience working in a similar role.
Relevant certificates and certifications, including Section 44/s26 Supervisor certificate.
Ability to demonstrate up to date knowledge and theory across a range of OEM crushing and screening equipment.
2 years+ previous experience supervising crushing and screening projects on clients’ sites.
Experience leading high performing teams.
Intermediate ability on the Microsoft suite of office programs (word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills.
Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills with people at all levels.
Experience in conflict resolution and mediations.
Excellent organisation and planning skills.
Strong coaching, mentoring and change management skills.
