- This is an ongoing Clerk Grade 5/6 role, based in Martin Place Sydney.
As the Media Coordinator you will craft impactful communications, shaping key messaging and driving the success of communication campaigns across multimedia channels to articulate the vision and initiatives of the NSW Government.
Each project represents an opportunity to curate a narrative resonating across the state. Collaborate with seasoned media advisors and key stakeholders to coordinate diverse communication projects that spotlight the excellence of the NSW Government.
You will contribute to our media strategies by researching and developing innovative targeted content spanning online platforms, print media, radio broadcasts, television features, events, speeches, presentations, and printed collateral, ensuring the delivery of cutting-edge, best-practice communications.
Your responsibilities will include being the proactive coordinator of media opportunities, supporting major events, and ensuring the seamless execution of 'Guest of Government' visits. You will also support the speechwriting team to produce media material that resonate with audiences, meet stringent deadlines, and ensure the seamless operation of the media unit.

- Experienced Communicator: Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering integrated communication campaigns across diverse multimedia channels, showcasing a deep understanding of effective audience engagement.
- Creative Visionary: A creative thinker with the ability to contribute fresh and innovative ideas to enhance government communications strategies, ensuring they remain dynamic and impactful.
- Exceptional Coordination Skills: Proven track record of successfully coordinating and delivering media, communication, and engagement projects, demonstrating strong organizational abilities in managing tasks efficiently and working with stakeholders.
- Media Savvy: Familiarity with various media formats, including online, print, radio, television, events, speeches, presentations, and printed collateral, with the ability to develop materials that align with best-practice communications.
- Proactive Problem Solver: Exhibits a proactive approach to media inquiries and can identify and capitalise on proactive media opportunities, especially during major events and high-profile 'Guest of Government' visits.
- Collaborative Team Player: Adept at collaborating with senior media advisors, key stakeholders, and internal teams, fostering positive relationships to ensure seamless coordination and successful project outcomes.

Salary: Clerk Grade 5/6. Package includes base salary ($93,295 - $102,941) plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
