The role
We are seeking a Media & Marketing Librarian to join the libraries team. Reporting to the Team Leader Programming & Engagement, your role is to:
- Develop copy and collateral for all library offerings
- Manage website and social media content
- Develop targeted and dynamic communications
This role includes additional weekend work. The Media & Marketing Librarian may be required to work 1 in 4 Saturdays, and 1 in 8 Sundays in addition to regular hours. This role may also include one late night per fortnight.
About you
We are looking for someone with:
- Demonstrated experience in developing dynamic marketing and communications materials
- Website and digital media platform management experience
- Strong library operations experience including circulation duties and customer service
- Ability to demonstrate the City of Kingston’s values of Future Orientated, Accountable, Dynamic, Expert, Community and Celebration
- Appropriate academic qualification in Librarianship and/or significant library operations experience, or tertiary qualification in marketing, business, or related discipline

The salary for this position starts at $76,900 (Band 5) per annum plus superannuation.
