MSK takes pride in providing customer centric patient care and are seeking like-minded individuals to join us on our journey, based in our beautiful modern rooms in East Melbourne.
The Role…
We are looking for a medical administrator who aligns with our core values to support our patients during their journey with us. Working alongside our Practice Business Manager, you will be an integral member of the MSK team, ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day running of our busy practice. Your responsibilities will vary daily, but will include:
- Meeting, greeting and registering patients
- Experience with Genie Patient Software (preferred but not essential)
- Preparing & receipting accounts using Genie
- Booking & confirming appointments
- Preparing patient files ahead of their appointment
- Preparing theatre lists
- Liaising with PHI, Medicare, TAC & WorkCover
- Scheduling diagnostic tests
- Audio typing (60+wpm) + medical terminology (essential, orthopaedics highly regarded)
- Preparing Independent Medical Examination summaries ahead of time
The role is full-time and shift hours vary based on the operational requirements of the business. Business hours are mainly 9am-5pm however there will be the rare occasion where you would be required to be available outside of those hours. No weekend work.

Unquestionably you are great with people, demonstrating patience, empathy and respect, with the ability to communicate in all forms with professionalism, maturity and clarity. You are a reliable individual in all aspects of your work, striving for excellence for the benefit of the patient and practice.
