Medical Administration Support
Our team is a locally based practice of dynamic, professional and passionate individuals working collaboratively to deliver first-class Orthopaedic Specialist services. Due to ongoing growth of the practice, we are currently seeking part time Medical Administration Support to support the Administration and Clinical team in ensuring exceptional patient-centred service is provided to their patients and partnering services.
Reporting to the Clinical Administration Coordinator, the Medical Administration Support will be responsible for providing day to day administration support to the practice.
Key Responsibilities
Front reception - greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments; maintaining reception area, assisting patients with paperwork.
Maintaining patient and medical records - filing and retrieving patient medical records; obtaining/updating medical, personal and financial information.
Answering phones to schedule appointments, answer patient inquiries and communicate with partnering services.
Typing – transcribing medical dictations.
Working collaboratively as part of a professional and supportive Administration Team
Essential skills
- Minimum two (2) years experience in an administration role (preferably medical but not essential)
- Highly developed typing and computer literacy skills
- Excellent attention to detail to support accurate and up-to-date patient filing.
- Thorough understanding of confidentiality requirements associated with recording and maintaining patient, practice and service information
- A professional, positive and compassionate manner when communicating with patients, clients and others
- Ability to follow directions, work independently and as part of a team where respect and integrity are paramount
- Passion for delivering quality outcomes and contributing to the overall success of the business
Hours
This is a part time opportunity - 20 hours per week with scope to increase and flexibility around days of work. Expected to be available for some early starts (8am) OR late finishes (7pm)
