ScanMedical Imaging Group is a new group of independent Medical Imaging practices located in and around metropolitan Sydney. The group is wholly owned and operated by medical professionals and experts in the diagnostic imaging field, with specialties in cardiac, musculoskeletal and interventional Radiology.
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and customer-service orientated Medical Imaging receptionist to join our team at ScanMedical in Hurstville.
About The Role:
This opportunity is available on a full-time basis.
Projected operating hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.
Modern facility with brand new, state-of-the-art equipment and machines.
Key responsibilities:
- Greeting patients on arrival at the practice;
- Completion of documentation, scheduling and registering of patients on the radiology information system (COMRAD);
- Taking phone calls from patients, referrers and other stakeholders;
- Processing post-procedure Medicare and health fund billing.
Desired Attributes:
- Experience using radiology information systems;
- Past experience with Medicare and Private Health Fund billing;
- Ability to manage patient preparation for radiology examinations;
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to show initiative in a team environment;
- A commitment to ongoing training, education and professional development.
- A comprehensive knowledge in medical terminology
To be considered for the role, you must have:
- Commitment to excellent customer service and patient-centric care;
- Excellent communication skills, phone manner and the ability to interact positively with both patients and referrers;
- Proficient organisation, prioritisation and time management skills;
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills;
- Experience handling cash and processing EFTPOS payments
