AddressA well known clinic with General Practice and Allied Health and support services based in Craigieburn, Victoria is seeking an AHPRA Registered medical centre nurse.
The position is available for immediate start and is suited to experienced capable Medical Nurse that thrive to work in a professional manner and within a friendly team environment.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Managing asthma and diabetes
- Treatment room management
- Patients observation
- Blood pressure management, weight control, diabetes, and smoking cessation advice
- Wound Care / dressing
- Immunisation
- Iron Infusion (including Intravenous (IV) cannulation)
- Assist GP's with procedures
- Stock Control
- Patients triage and First aid
- Care plans and Health assessments
- Pathology collection
- Assist with compliance, training, quality improvement and accreditation.
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience as a Medical Centre Nurse.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with a pleasant telephone manners.
- Professional, punctual, and flexible
- knowledge of Accreditation Setup and Audit requirements and ability to participate
- Working experience of Best Practice Software, Hot Doc and other practice software used by a medical clinic
- Ability to adapt to new tasks and fluctuating time pressures.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Pathology collection experience is an advantage
