Located in Figtree, our established and busy private Integrated Specialist Healthcare Clinic provides high quality healthcare through the delivery of exceptional and integrated services to our patients and practitioners.
The Role - 3 to 4 days per week
We are looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to assist with the administrative duties of the reception desk at our Figtree clinic and be part of a fun, collaborative and team friendly environment where our mission is to make a difference to our patients.
Responsibilities
- Attend the front desk – includes checking in patients, answering phone calls, making appointments, updating patient information, invoicing and receiving payments, medicare/veteran affairs claiming.
- General administrative tasks - including typing, photocopying, filing, scanning, faxing, processing faxes/mail/emails, confirming appointments.
- Manage appointment book and co-ordinate appointments effectively.
- Maintain efficient record keeping and filing systems – including the handling of confidential patient information.
- Maintaining office and medical supplies.
- Generally assist with the basic management of the Clinic and provide support to the Practice Manager.

- At least 2 years’ experience in similar role
- Good understanding of medical terminology
- Very high attention to detail
- Experience with Genie and/or Gentu software an advantage
- Experience working with Specialists would also be an advantage
