Our Specialist Medical Practice, whose consulting suite is located within Epworth Geelong Hospital, Waurn Ponds is looking for a casual Medical Receptionist to join our busy practice.
As part of our team you will provide administrative support to our specialist physicians and allied health providers.
You will work closely and collaboratively with our administration team, taking direction as required whilst maintaining a respectful and supportive attitude towards our team and patients.
Your key duties will include:
. reception duties including (but not limited to) greeting patients, answering telephone calls and enquiries
. scheduling appointments, processing patient accounts and Medicare rebates and other reception/medical practice administration
. medical typing, letter editing and distribution
. liaising with internal and external parties
To be considered for this role you will require:
. previous medical reception/administration experience
. knowledge of Zedmed/Audit4 medical software (not essential)
. strong written and verbal communication skills
. a friendly, personable manner and a team player
. proficient computer skills
. a knowledge of Medicare
. a clear understanding of the importance of strict patient confidentiality
. a willingness to take direction as required
. a willingness to learn and adhere to our practice protocols and contribute to our high standard of patient care
This will be a casual position initially with some flexibility and short notice availability required to assist with annual/sick leave/carer’s leave cover for the administration team. Hours of work will be within Monday to Friday 8.00am to 6.00pm. There may be a requirement to provide reception for our Warrnambool Clinic which is shared by the admin team one Friday per calendar month.
