About our Company
Better Medical is a growing owner and operator of high-quality general practices across Australia. We passionately believe that primary care needs to be locally focused, and that is why our group of practices are locally managed, regionally connected, and centrally supported. Our ethos is simple – to provide the best standard of care in our communities.
About the Clinic
University Health Practice is a fully accredited general practice that has served the local community for over 20 years.
Conveniently located in the heart of Adelaide's CBD, the GPs practising at University Health Practice provide high-quality health care to patients, including city-based workers and The University of Adelaide students and staff.
The practice also provides teaching support to medical, nursing and allied health students completing undergraduate and postgraduate studies and serology screening for health science students, enabling them to fulfil their university placement requirements.
About the role
A casual opportunity exists for Medical Receptionists to join our University Health clinic and potentially provide coverage for our other surrounding Clinics. Ideally, successful candidates will have previous experience in a similar role or the health industry. Perfect for candidates with a professional approach, ‘can-do’ attitude, and availability.
Work with a passionate team
Our commitment to the delivery of exceptional clinical care is unwavering. You will become a valued member of the team and experience a culturally diverse patient population that is both professionally challenging and immensely rewarding. If you want to have a real impact on the health outcomes of the local community, we would love to hear from you.
Ideally, you will have previous reception experience using Best Practice medical software, and knowledge of HICAPs, TYRO, and multiple bookings systems. You will also:
- Display empathy and understanding;
- Understand client and staff confidentially;
- Work with integrity and be reliable;
- Have the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time;
- Be committed to the brand and working arrangements; and
- Have strong written and verbal communication.
Your application will be reviewed if you include a current resume and send an introductory letter (no more than 1 x A4 page in length) that outlines your availability across all workdays and addresses why you are seeking a Medical Receptionist role, your key career achievements, and what you can personally bring to Better Medical.

We look forward to welcoming a like-minded Medical Receptionist to our team.
