Nelson Plaza Clinic is a fully accredited multidisciplinary medical clinic in the heart of Nelson Bay. We offer GP Services, Podiatry, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Dietician and Psychology Allied Health Services to help cater to our patient’s needs.
To support our growing team, we are now seeking a casual receptionist (approx. 3 days per week) to:
- Greet patients, answer telephone calls and book patient appointments.
- Handling appointment scheduling, changes, cancellations, and billing using Best Practice software and HICAPS for billing.
- Provide quality customer service to patients, doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals.
- Undertake housekeeping of the reception area and clinic rooms.
- Support the reception team with day-to-day operations.
- Maintain confidentiality while managing patient records.
- Work as part of a team in a supportive friendly environment.
The successful person will have:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate well to patients, staff, practitioners, and health care professionals.
- Good organisation and time management skills
- A positive attitude and a friendly demeanor
- Commitment to ethical behaviour and conduct
- Well-presented and punctual
- Enjoy working in a busy and engaging work environment whilst being proactive.
- Medical reception experience desirable but not essential
- Availability to cover sick and annual leave.
