An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join a highly regarded Surgeon and his team located in Kogarah.
Essential criteria:
- Previous experience working in a specialist medical practice
- Excellent phone manner, interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional, compassionate and caring nature
- Have a sound understanding of patient confidentiality in a medical setting
- Team player with the ability to multi-task and provide high attention to detail
- Competent in medical practice software (Clinic to Cloud highly regarded but not essential as training will be provided)
- Understanding of medical terminology, Medicare and health fund billing
- Experience in Social Media content creation and marketing would be highly regarded
Responsibilities:
- Meet and greet patients in a professional and courteous manner
- Schedule patient appointments
- Patient billing including processing of Medicare and health fund claims
- Co-ordinate and schedule hospital admissions for patients
- Document scanning and linking to patient files
- Liaise with other medical professionals and hospital staff
- Assist Practice Manager with ad-hoc administrative duties
Employment type:
- Permanent part-time - 2 days per week (must be available Wednesdays & Fridays) with potential for additional hours
- Flexibility to provide leave cover when required
- Probationary period of 4 months
