About Us:
Our clinic, located in the heart of Bondi Junction, NSW, specialises in the therapeutic use of medicinal cannabis. We are dedicated to providing high-quality care and education to patients for whom traditional treatments have not been effective. We are looking for a compassionate and professional Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet patients and visitors, providing a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using our medical software.
- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and handle patient inquiries with discretion and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records within our electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Provide information and support to patients regarding the use of medicinal cannabis, within the scope of clinic guidelines.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient clinic operations and patient flow.
- Handle billing processes, including invoicing, processing payments, and understanding health insurance claims.
- Ensure the clinic complies with all legal and regulatory requirements concerning health care and medicinal cannabis use.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a medical reception or similar role is essential.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in using healthcare software and EHR systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of health care and medicinal cannabis regulations.
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct.
- A proactive approach and a strong team player.
- Certificate in medical administration or related field is preferred.
