Position Purpose:
Our practice is primarily based in Liverpool, South Western Sydney with both public and private appointments. Our Medical Receptionists ensure all patients receive excellent service in a professional and caring environment. The Medical Receptionists work collaboratively with the senior surgeon, other Medical Receptionists and external Health Professionals in both the public and private healthcare system.
Essential Skills:
Ability to produce accurate and timely patient quotes
Ensuring billing is completed accurately and in a timely manner
Familiarisation with Medicare billing procedures
Usage of Eclipse system
Ability to communicate effectively with doctors, staff and patients
Ability to prioritise and organise workflow effectively
Ability to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
High level of emotional intelligence
Excellent telephone manner
Excellent personal presentation
Intermediate computer skills
Ability and desire to learn new skills
High level of attention to detail
A minimum of one years’ experience as a medical secretary or receptionist
Desirable Skills:
Proficient in Genie medical software (Training available)
Ability to communicate calmly and effectively with patients, Doctors and staff
Good understanding and use of Microsoft Office

• Practice Manager
Duties & Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
Answer incoming phone calls efficiently, confidentially and politely at all times.
Book, change and cancel patient appointments in keeping with guidelines
Conduct face to face contact with patients with a caring and polite attitude
Ensure messages are complete, details correct and relay in a timely manner
Ensure patient records are kept up to date
Ensure that all patient reports and records are ready, available for patient consultations
Ensure safety and cleanliness of reception, waiting room areas and the office in general
Ability to drive to the practice's various locations regularly
Stock take and ordering of stock
Other duties as assigned
The successful candidate will be remunerated award levels.
Applicants must be available for flexible working hours, Monday to Friday with some early morning starts and late afternoon finishes.
