Job Description: Join our dynamic team as a Medical Receptionist and become an integral part of our patient-focused healthcare environment. As the face of our clinic, the Medical Receptionist plays a pivotal role in ensuring that every patient's experience is positive and seamless.
Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet patients, providing exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone
- Schedule appointments, manage the appointment calendar
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scanning, data entry and stock orders
- Verify patient information and obtain necessary approvals
- Create invoices, accurately record transactions, and reconcile daily payments
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception area, doctors offices and ensure a welcoming and professional environment
- Handle patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy, escalating issues as needed
- Collaborate effectively with medical staff, administrative team members, and other departments to ensure efficient clinic operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Medical Receptionist or similar customer service role preferred
- Proficiency in computer skills and experience with Clinic to Cloud an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
- Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with professionalism
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families
