Elevation Psychology provides psychological assessment and treatment for psychological conditions and trauma related disorders in adults and emergency service workers, with an emphasis on current and former police officers and their families. We also provide neuropsychological assessments and support for adults with ADHD.
We are a family run business providing a welcoming and nurturing environment in the leafy suburb of Bulimba, facing Bulimba Memorial Park - an easy stroll to great coffee, restaurants, shopping and the Bulimba Ferry Terminal.
Role Overview
We are a very busy practice, and our services are in high demand. We have a team of three clinicians, so we are seeking a receptionist to provide administrative support, working alongside and reporting to our Practice Manager.
Receptionists are the first point of contact for our patients so you will play a crucial role in helping us to provide exceptional compassionate care and quality of service. So, we are looking for a warm, friendly, empathetic, professional and motivated team member to support our patients and psychologists.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients, taking payments and sending invoices.
- Answering phone, email and web enquiries promptly.
- Scheduling appointments and staying on top of confirmations and cancellations.
- Ensuring Mental Health Care Plans are compliant and set up in the patient’s record.
- Setting up and maintaining patient files – digital and hard copy files.
- Project work and administrative tasks as directed by the Practice Manager.
Our ideal candidate possesses:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a psychology practice, or the medical/allied health field.
- Experience using Power Diary highly regarded.
- High attention to detail and strong computer, written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills and an ability to make patients feel comfortable “seeing a psych”.
- An ability to remain calm and professional and prioritise competing demands.
- Discretion and confidentiality at all times.
- A commitment to maintain consistency in workdays and hours.
- Current post-graduate psychology students will be considered.
- Permanent residency in Australia.
- Availability to work a minimum of 16 hours per week across Mon-Thurs preferably afternoons until 5pm and during school holidays.
