An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Medical Receptionist to work in our busy, modern General Practice of 4 GP's, 2 RNs and 2 Admin staff.
We seek a person who has outstanding customer service and personal skills who enjoys a challenge and thrives in a demanding environment. You will be working in a fast-paced and constantly busy practice where your prior experience in a similar environment will be highly regarded. Must have excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
You will be responsible for; greeting patients, booking appointments, answering phones, patient billings using cash and Tyro, managing results, liaising with Doctors, specialists and third party medical providers and many other general administration requirements.
You will display a highly professional team member approach while also having an ability to work independently as needed. Experience using Best Practice would be advantageous although, not essential.
The position is Full Time with shifts varying between our open hours of 8am to 5pm. You must also be available to cover sick and annual leave often at short notice. Usual shifts will between Monday to Friday.
Sound knowledge of Medicare item numbers would also be an advantage.
Being able to multi task is essential to this role while being able to maintain a high level of composure and professionalism, possess effective time management and organisational skills and is reliable, punctual and well-presented.
