Macarthur Lung and Sleep (https://www.macarthurlungsleep.com.au/) is an established specialist respiratory and sleep centre at a vibrant medical hub next to Campbelltown Private Hospital. We are seeking a committed Receptionist/Secretary with great customer skills, flexibility and strong attention to detail to join our friendly team.
Duties and responsibilities
- Welcoming patients and visitors
- Excellent communication, both spoken and written.
- Answer telephone promptly and courteously
- Make outgoing phone calls as required
- Scheduling appointments
- Scanning and filing records and results
- Accuracy and experience with Eftpos and billing.
- Exercise confidentiality in regard to patient care and all aspects of the practice
- Deal with referring doctors and hospital staff
- Manage daily correspondence
- Check in patient arrival
- Update any information on medical records in computer
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Previous medical reception experience
- Positive and proactive attitude
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise deadlines
- Professional attitude reflecting co-operation, reliability and warmth
- Being able to multitask under pressure and show initiative
- High level of organisational skills and great attention to Detail
- Integrity
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- The ability to communicate kindly and effectively with colleagues,patients and their families
- Strong computer skills
- Knowledge of Clinical Computer Software (Gentu) is an advantage.
- Accurate typing skills
