Orana Medical Practice is a small general practice with a small close-knit team of doctors, allied health professionals and nurses.
We are looking for a senior Medical Receptionist with prior experience only to work on a casual basis and is motivated and confident to join our team at Orana Medical Practice, Seven Hills.
To be suitable, you will need to be flexible and have the capacity to work a variety of casual shifts including weekdays, weekends and also cover sick and holiday leave.
Essential Criteria:
- Previous medical reception experience is essential.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Best Practice is preferred.
- Professional & personable telephone manner.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Must be well presented.
- Long term commitment required.
- Flexibility to cover other team members for sick or annual leave.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the practice manager with all tasks.
- Managing a busy front desk.
- Liaising with patients and doctors.
- Welcoming patients and entering patient details.
- Answering telephone calls and inquiries and scheduling appointments.
- Scanning and billing, including work cover claims and invoices.
- Help in practice accreditation procedures.
- Maintain continuing education related to medical practice.
- Assisting in managing staff and doctors’ rosters.
- General daily cleaning.
