Medical Receptionist- Part Time

We are a friendly family Medical Practice North of the River.

We are a busy, private billing, non-corporate general family
practice.

Our work environment is very supportive and friendly.

We are currently looking for a reliable and hard-working Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team of supporting staff. 

Remuneration will be offered based on experiences. Previous Medical Receptionist experience is preferred, but not essential. 

We are looking for a Part Time staff member to cover three shifts a week.

Monday(10am – 7pm aprox.), Wednesday (3pm – 7pm aprox.) and Friday (1pm – 6pm aprox.).

Must be flexible to cover holiday and sick leave.

Someone with a positive outlook and ability to work in a team would be ideal for this position.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Provision of timely, efficient and effective confidential practice administrative services in the medical centre including:
2. General reception duties 
3. Appointment bookings 
4. Billings and receipting
5. Effective support to Doctors, Nurses and patients

The skills and abilities essential for the successful candidate are:

Excellent telephone manner 

Excellent communication skills 

Ability to cope well under pressure

Mature, professional attitude and presentation

Experience in reception – preferably medical reception.

Experience in Best Practice software is an advantage, but training will be provided

Reliable transport and living within a 10 Km radius of the Practice.

Able to adhere to strict confidentiality legislation.

Medicare knowledge

Good attention to detail 

Ability to manage multi–task workloads
