Key Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner, embodying our commitment to excellent communication.
- Efficiently schedule appointments, manage patient records, and maintain the reception area
- Promptly answer phone calls, address patient inquiries, and provide information as needed with patience and clarity.
- Learn and proficiently use Neighbourhood Medical's IT systems for scheduling, record-keeping and communication.
- Develop an understanding of and be able to apply Medicare and private billing processes
- Maintain an organised and aesthetically appealing reception area, reflecting our commitment to a pleasant environment for both staff and patients.
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience is required, demonstrating your ability to uphold our core values.
- Proficiency in quickly learning and using IT systems
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within established systems and processes.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and office procedures is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in a medical practice or healthcare setting is a plus but not required, as long as your values align with ours and you can contribute to our organisation.

This role would be suited to someone who is either wanting to continue their career while supporting a work life balance or someone who is ready for a career change. Direct Medical Receptionist experience is not a necessity as Neighbourhood Medical is committed to growing our team with the right skills while supporting the current positive culture. It is a part-time or Casual role with the opportunity to flex up and down depending on staffing requirements.
