We are seeking an experienced permanent / part-time Medical Receptionist to join our Neurology Private Practice at the Hollywood Consulting Centre. The clinic runs Monday to Friday and in addition to consultations, specialist medical procedures are performed (e.g., Botulinum Toxin and Deep Brain Stimulation Programming).
The role will support two Neurologists and two GP's working in the practice.
Responsibilities:
Check-in patients, collect and enter personal details
Answer telephone calls, emails and respond to enquiries
Maintain Medical Records with a high degree of accuracy
Assist with the management of referrals and schedule appointments
Patient billing and EFTPOS payment collection
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence proficiently
Manage patient expectations regarding waiting time and clinic challenges
General administrative duties as directed
Always ensure strict adherence to confidentiality and privacy laws
Assist other team members with cleaning and maintenance
Essential Criteria
Previous Medical Administration experience, 2+ years an advantage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
IT savvy and experience with Microsoft Office
Ability to prioritise and multitask under pressure
Neat and professional appearance
Reliable, dedicated and punctual at all times
Desirable
Previous experience with Genie Practice Management Software
