The Role:
Burraneer Family Practice is seeking applications for the position of Part time Medical Receptionist working shifts between 8 am and 7 pm Monday to Friday and 8 am till close (usually around 1 pm) Saturday.
Total hours per week will be between 15-20 hours
Your Duties will include but not limited to:
Front office administration duties including:
- Arranging appointments for patients
- Appointment book maintenance
- Incoming & Outgoings telephone calls
- Meet & greet patients
- Data Entry and Patient registration
- Accounts & Receipting
- Incoming & Outgoing Mail
- Maintain the general appearance and cleanliness of the whole surgery
Key Attributes:
- Be able to demonstrate articulate and friendly customer service with the understanding of the importance of patient confidentiality.
- Previous experience & knowledge of Medicare an advantage, including the understanding of item numbers and private practice billing as well as Medical software highly advantageous
- Must be a team player with the flexibility to cover sick/annual leave
- Must be respectful, honest, friendly and reliable
- Ability to work autonomously and cohesively as part of a team.
- Possess a high level of organisational and administrative skill with an attention to detail whilst working under pressure.
Remuneration: With above award wages paid, this competitive hourly rate will be negotiated for the right candidate.
