The Role
We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to provide excellent customer service to our patients. The role is part time (19 hours per week plus casual shifts and leave coverage) at our Subiaco practice. Hours will be Monday - Tuesday 9:30am - 5:00pm and Wednesday's 12:30pm - 5:30pm with the opportunely for extra hours. The successful applicant must have experience in medical reception, ideally in a medical imaging practice. They must have outstanding interpersonal skills allowing them to support our specialist doctors and other staff and to provide professional and compassionate service to our patients. Commencement date for this position will be late May 2024.
Role requirements/duties include:
- Taking telephone enquiries and booking appointments
- Welcoming patients to the practice and ensuring a smooth flow throughout their visit
- Processing Medicare and private billing transactions
- Processing ultrasound reports and correspondence to referring doctors
- General office duties under the supervision of the practice manager
- Liaising with external providers to ensure efficient processing of clinical specimens
Essential requirements for this role are:
- Previous experience as Medical Receptionist
- Sound interpersonal skills
- Experience with practice management software
- Commitment to provision of outstanding care to our patients and their families
- Excellent time management, ability to coordinate, prioritise, and manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Ability to work independently and communicate with the practice manager and practice directors
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
- Neat and professional presentation
- Commitment to comply with company procedures and corporate regulations and to act with honesty and integrity
Desirable requirements for this role are:
- Experience in a medical imaging practice
- Experience in Genie/Gentu and ViewPoint software packages
