Our busy Port Macquarie, Lord Street clinic is seeking a customer focused and dedicated Medical Receptionist to join the team. This role is a casual position working shifts where needed Monday to Friday, between the core hours of 8am and 5:30pm. On occasion you may be required to cover our clinic at Port Macquarie Base Hospital.
What will you be doing?
- Be the first point of contact for patients at reception
- Make appointments for several clinics across multiple modalities (e.g. x-ray, MRI, ultrasound)
- Providing excellent customer service and patient care
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with patients, referrers, colleagues and managers
- Managing inbound phone calls within our on site contact centre
Our ideal candidate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous Medical Receptionist experience (highly desirable)
- Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- Able to multitask while using multiple computer systems
