AddressWestern Urology requires an experienced and highly motivated Medical Secretary to join this busy private surgical group practice in West Leederville working 2-3 days per week. Genie experience is essential.
Initially this role is to cover for maternity leave. To start early July with training. For the right candidate this role could develop into permanent employment.

Your key responsibilities include:
- Providing secretarial support to surgeon
- Effectively managing all aspects of reception including; welcoming patients, answering phone, booking appointments and managing emails
- Booking theatre lists and liaising with hospitals and anaesthetist groups
- Maintaining patient records (both paper and electronic)
- Patient accounts: invoicing, receipting, following up aged debtors
- General office duties including faxing, photocopying, scanning, opening and distributing mail
- Liaising with patients, hospitals, health funds, Surgeons, Anaesthetists and other health professionals
Essential requirements:
- Previous experience within a specialist medical practice (ideally surgical)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Genie experience – This is essential.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities during clinics
- Sound computer skills (Word, Outlook)
- Professional, helpful and compassionate approach to providing patient centred care
- Able to work independently and use initiative
- Efficient, high level of time management and organisational skills
- Attention to detail
No weekend work is required.
