The Role:
Brighter Super is a boutique superannuation fund committed to providing personalised, meaningful services to our members. As a Member Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of our high balance member clients and providing them with dedicated account management services through the duration of their membership. The role will ensure that trusting and lasting relationships are developed that result in membership retention while delivering tangible outcomes to members. This role reports to the Manager, Key Member Relationships and is part of a team of Member Account Managers.
Key responsibilities
You will:
- Oversee and maintain regular contact, by both phone, digital and face to face, with a portfolio of high balance members including one-on-one member meetings and through the provision of member seminars where our members work and live
- Provide proactive service delivery to this membership group across all aspects of the value proposition including member education, insurance, rewards programs, life events and other services which may be developed
- Work with our existing financial advice business unit to increase the number of members who are receiving financial advice solutions and who are accessing pension products
- Assisting members with appropriate information or general advice to make complex decisions around the management and growth of their superannuation and insurance benefits
- Supporting members and their third-party advisors through key life events and cross promotion of all Brighter Super services to these members/clients
- To effectively promote the fund to current and prospective members through internal and external referral networks

- You have effective listening skills with the ability to understand and analyse member needs and turn them into outcomes
Desired experience and requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in sales or relationship management
- Preferably certified RG 146 in superannuation with recent experience in providing general advice
- Ability to travel throughout portfolio area regularly, including some out of business hours work
- Well-developed presentation skills including presenting to customer audiences.
- Experience in achieving or exceeding growth and retention targets
- Ability to pass an Australian Federal Police check and a bankruptcy check as part of being appointed and have regular checks as a part of your ongoing employment.
