Memorial Sales Consultant

We are the caretakers entrusted to commemorate the lives of Western Australians now and into the future. We help family and friends honour the lives of loved ones and safeguard memories for future generations.

 Metropolitan Cemeteries Board currently have one full-time position and one part-time position of 22.5 hrs per week available for an experienced customer service professional at the historic and beautiful Fremantle Cemetery and will also create a pool of candidates to fill future vacancies. Applicants assessed as suitable may be offered similar roles as vacancies arise during the next 12 months.

About the role

We are seeking compassionate people to showcase our gardens, mausoleums and burial grounds, and products whilst supporting bereaved families to memorialise their loved ones. They will provide a seamless and high quality service to clients in our beautiful cemeteries. 

 The Memorial Sales Consultant will be responsible for supporting clients in selecting, designing and coordinating cremation memorials, mausoleum crypts, gravesites and other MCB products. Given the sensitive nature of the products and services, sales are conducted in a dignified and respectful manner.

 About you

 Eligibility Requirements

1.  Appointment is subject to a satisfactory National Police Clearance as conducted by the Department. A criminal conviction may not preclude you from gaining employment.
2. Australian permanent residency is a minimum requirement for permanent appointment to the West Australian Public Sector. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the duration of the contract.
