About the Role:
Our respective client is currently seeking for an experienced, motivated, and customer-focused MEP Draftsperson to join their Hobart team. This permanent, full-time role is based in Stanton Place, Cambridge, TAS.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed shop drawings in Autodesk Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD, and similar software.
- Coordinate building services using Autodesk Navisworks, Trimble Connect, and other tools.
- Demonstrate interest in the Engineering and Construction Industry.
- Utilize 3D modelling software to create high-quality visualizations.
- Apply knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC section J (advantageous).
- Engage in the Building Information Modelling (BIM) process to support high-quality construction management.
- Contribute to Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) by producing digital 3D models and handling construction data for a better understanding of the building lifecycle.
- Exhibit meticulousness, problem-solving skills, solution orientation, and the ability to work within a team.
- Be receptive to constructive feedback and prioritize utmost care and quality in work produced.
- Showcase computer literacy and experience using CAD software packages.
Key Requirements:
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Essential computer literacy and experience using CAD software packages.
- Desirable knowledge of mechanical services, air conditioning, ventilation, fabrication, or similar fields.
- Desirable experience in CADmep.
- For Junior or Trainee Draftsperson applicants: recently completed or leading towards the end of studies in engineering, architecture, and/or design.
