Metal Machinist (First Class)

OMG Engineering provides a complete solution for mining/exploration, drilling and oil and gas industries. Specialising in drafting, detail design, fabrication, machining and fitting.
We are looking for a full time (with 38 hours per week) skilled Metal Machinist (First Class) to perform the following duties:
Responsibilities
•Participate in Manufacturing processes including Grinding, Linishing, Rolling, Bending, hardening and Tempering.
•Specialised Tool assembly and Blade Manufacturing
•Fitment, assembly and blank-off/alignment of all plastic injection moulds, stamping die and high-pressure die casting tools
•Provide training and mentorship to toolroom apprentices
•Read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and drawings
•Adjust machine settings to achieve the desired product specifications
•Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
•Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise
•Work collaboratively with team members to optimize production processes and achieve production targets
•Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements
•The right candidate will have at least 2 years of experience
•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
•Knowledge of cutting tools, tool holders, and other machine accessories
•Good analytical and problem-solving skills
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Position: Full Time
Salary: $70,000 – 110,000 per year
