The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Metering & Billing Officer to join our M&SB team in King William Street, Adelaide SA, on a Fixed Term Full Time basis until September 2024.
Reporting to a Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring customers receive accurate gas meter readings, analysing data, responding to inquiries and managing daily work allocated to yourself.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, check and instigate follow up meter readings to ensure accurate charging to Retailers
- Answer and attend to Retailers inquiries for metering accuracy and other related inquiries concerning Metering and haulage
- Process and update Retailer information and reports
- Enter meter read details, e.g. On-cycle & Special Reads
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to obtain relevant information
- Initiate and manage investigations relating to meter and billing anomalies
- Demonstrated ability to work in a responsible manner to ensure meter details and readings are recorded and billed accurately
- Proven ability to identify and prioritise workloads to ensure daily schedules are completed on time
- Able to identify and prioritise critical work issues as they may occur
- Effective team player and communicator
- Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills
