Operating an open cut coal mine near Collie in the South West of WA, the operation produces more than 3million tonnes of coal per year for domestic supply with contracts to 2030. We are currently seeking a Mid Term Mining Engineer to join our team at Premier Coal on a rotating 8/6 roster - 10.5hr days. About the Role Reporting to the Mine Planning Superintendent, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated Technical Services team. This role is responsible for carrying out safe and optimal mid term planning/scheduling tasks. Key aspects of a Mid-Term Mining Engineer at Premier Coal; Ensure implementation and compliance of the Weekly Plan and site Safety Health and Environmental standards to ensure safe and sustainable mine standards Use your skills to design and develop rolling weekly excavator plans and schedules for the mining operation. to Develop and maintain medium term mine plans (3MP) covering from 2-18 months to assist Mining Engineers in the creation of weekly excavator plans and schedules Ensure all equipment and frontline supervisors have up-to-date dig and dump plans to adhere to the medium term mine plan Ensure design process is followed for all designs and ensure design amendments to suit operational requirements and are communicated to Mining Team Take part in designing mine rehabilitation designs to meet environmental commitments.
