Mandalay Resources Costerfield Operation is 50km east of Bendigo. Bendigo is a vibrant city and home to approximately 120,000 residents. Bendigo has an impressive mining history and boasts a thriving arts and cultural precinct.

About The Role
Our new Mining Engineer will work as an integral member of our high-performing technical team to deliver professional mine designs, planning and scheduling services to mining operations. As a Mining Engineer in the Technical Services department, you will perform tasks such as:
- Production and Development mine design, short term scheduling, and design documentation.
- Risk assessment and risk management.
- Underground inspections of working areas and areas to be designed.
- Geotechnical inspections and minor rehabilitation plan development to address geotechnical issues/hazards.
- Ventilation measurement and monitoring to ensure best practice compliance.
- Tracking daily, weekly and monthly production and development activities and determine compliance against forecast.
- Leading technological and design improvement projects within the technical team.
- Assistance with design and planning of underground and surface infrastructure projects.
About You
Our new Mining Engineer will have the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering discipline
- Between 2 – 3 years experience essential
- Previous experience working underground
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, continuous improvement and technical excellence
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a focused technical team
- Ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
