Surveyor - Open Pit

Our client is a mid-tier but rapidly expanding Mining House with interests in Large Hard Rock deposits in WA. At their growing and conveniently located site in regional WA their site planning team seeks to recruit a surveyor, who will oversee survey activities for their Open Pit Operation.

Reports to: Technical Services Superintendent

Duties

• Capture, calculate and report stockpile volumes.
• Capture incident surveys and prepare plans.
• Capture of mining areas as required to accurately report on design compliance and inventory.
• Calculate End of Month waste volumes and compile and report key production metrics.
• Maintaining survey equipment, vehicles, and infrastructure.
• Conducting survey pick-up’s and set out’s as required for operational and project timelines whilst adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Producing maps, drawings and documents as required.
• Assisting with end of month surveys and volumetric calculations for contractor payment; and
• Demonstrating a commitment to strengthening safety and team culture.
• Driving continuous improvement opportunities within the department and broader business.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Surveying Degree/Relevant Qualifications

• 2+ Years Mining Experience

• Mining Software Exposure - Deswik

• Strong Communication Skills
