SEEKING STAFF IN BRISBANE (NORTH AND SOUTH) + IPSWICH!!
Mobile Attendant Care Service (MACS) are looking for female Mobile Care Workers to join our night team. In this unique role you will provide mobile drop-in support to individuals with physical disabilities in their homes.
Our flexible drop-in team operates throughout the night from 5pm – 6am when other services are often less available. Our staff can drop in for just 5 minutes, up to 1 hour, giving clients flexibility and peace of mind throughout the night and into the morning. Whether it's pre-arranged nightly assistance or occasional unplanned support, our mobile support team can help.
Your main responsibility will be enhancing the comfort and lifestyle of our customers throughout the night. You will assist customers within their homes with evening activities, a typical shift involves: a lot of driving (vehicle provided), assistance with personal care and hygiene, transfers / hoisting, dressing, medication assistance, re-positioning, wellbeing checks, assistance to eat/drink, many other small tasks.
On any one shift, you will assist numerous customers over 5 -8 hour shifts. Shifts types range from 5pm-midnight, 5pm – 2am, 10pm-6am.
Criteria
- Ability to support others with personal care and domestic duties – and be happy for this to be part of your job.
- Current Australian Driver’s License.
- NDIS Orientation Module
- NDIS Worker Screening (yellow card).
- First Aid / CPR, or willingness to obtain within 1 month of employment.
- High levels of enthusiasm, initiative and a positive attitude while acting with integrity, honesty and respect
- A qualification in community services/disability/individual support is preferable.
