About the role

We are looking for an experienced LME and HME Planner/Schedulers to support our Maintenance team in the Dampier and Cape Lambert, as part of our Utilities Maintenance Coastal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the maintenance planning and scheduling work management process to maximise resource effectiveness, increase the reliability of our Mobile Equipment and minimise the interruption to the mining process, without compromising asset values so that the equipment safely produces agreed outputs to support the mine operation.

This role is a great opportunity to understand the full extent of maintenance work needed to conduct the relevant repair/preventive/predictive design out activities on the organisation’s Mobile Equipment

Reporting to the Senior Planner, on 5 days on; 2 days off / 4 days on; 3 days off roster and working in a challenging and exciting environment, you will:

  • Drive a Zero harm culture in our workplace
  • Support all aspects of the RTIO Health, Safety, Environment HSEQ compliance
  • Supporting the effective application and compliance of asset management systems and processes
  • Monitoring maintenance costs and identifying realistic and sustainable savings
  • Utilising well developed communication skills to build and maintain customer relations
  • Providing coaching and support to users of the asset management processes and systems
  • Working closely with the maintenance execution teams to ensure maintenance plan is met, and balancing the competing priorities to ensure the site achieves targets
  • Mentoring team members on expectations for both safety and standard of work
  • Act as interface between the maintenance and fleet planning teams
  • Daily interaction with the LME Dampier or the HME Cape Lambert execution teams to execute the weekly Schedule safely and effectively
  • Continues growth within the team’s Work Management processes, practices, and culture
  • Liaising closely with the supervisors, maintainers, suppliers and custodians to scope and plan work to be completed by Dampier LME personnel or Cape Lambert.
  • Fostering a continuous improvement culture and supporting the team to generate and implement ideas and initiatives
  • Monitoring, understanding LME/HME metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and to recognise success
  • Drive the implementation of consistent and standardised work management practices
  • Effectively communicating with other department leaders on priorities

What you’ll bring

  • Known for their leadership aspirations and demonstrated ability
  • A strong health and safety advocate
  • Able to work autonomously with minimal immediate on-site support
  • Capable of demonstrating a strong Customer Service Focus and very effective Relationship Management skills and abilities
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Power point
  • System literacy and proficiency in SAP, Excel, Prospect, Raising Tickets in RTTMS, InFlight, MiX Telimatics
  • Organised, articulate and possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to demonstrate an engaging and energetic work ethic
  • Trade qualified with at least four years’ experience
  • Have a thorough working knowledge of the Work Management Process
  • RTIO Contractor Management System Currently (CMS) qualified user
  • A current Western Australian driver’s license
  • Eligible to work in Australia without requiring visa sponsorship
