About the Role – Motor Mechanic
JAX Tyre and Auto have are excited to announce we are looking for a experienced Motor Mechanic to join our new store opening in Bathurst. In this role, you will maintain and repair light vehicles through identifying and rectifying faults, as well as following specific vehicle manufacturer guidelines to deliver an industry leading level of customer service.
You will be working in a well-equipped and organised workshop, closely alongside your team.
Your main day-to-day tasks would include
- Repairing and maintaining customer vehicles
- Carrying out wheel alignments, wheel balancing and other wheel/suspension related services
- Identifying mechanical faults as well as issues with vehicle stability and tyre wear
- Fitting, rotating and servicing tyres
- Providing advice and reporting potentially dangerous risks found on customer vehicles
- Take Charge of workshop
- Safely operating hoists
- Conducting road tests as required
About you
- Carry relevant licences and certifications required for a Motor Mechanic
- Preferably 2 or more years experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic
- Preferred RMS AIA qualification
- MVRAI License
- Excellent communication skills when dealing with customers and team members
- Able to work in a team environment, but also unsupervised
- Have an understanding of targets and KPI’s
- Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills
- Be physically fit to carry out day-to-day duties
- Knowledge of Workshop WHS
- Must have permanent work rights in Australia
- MUST be experienced in the automotive tyre industry
