The Australian Landscape Trust (ALT) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting improved management of Australia's natural resources for the benefit of communities and the environment. Our mission is to gather, share and apply knowledge and skills for the wise use and care of regional landscapes; by building collaborative partnerships among communities, land managers and technical experts. ALT's vision is therefore centred on promoting within communities the capacity and desire to wisely manage their landscapes over the long term, consistent with their needs and values.
ALT's Riverland operation is comprised of Calperum Station and Taylorville Station where our ecologists and rangers manage a diverse range of landscapes across the two properties. They also work closely with our education team to provide exceptional education programs, nature-based visitor experiences and volunteer opportunities.
Our program, 'Calperum Connect' integrates areas of focus under the three themes of ECOLOGY, EDUCATION, ENGAGEMENT. Calperum Connect programs support environmental, social and economic outcomes at Calperum Station and within our region. Stakeholders include Local, State and Federal Government, education and service providers, tourism operators and volunteer organisations.
There are currently three diverse and rewarding positions available at Calperum Station which are:
