Whyalla Hydraulic Service Centre is a regional Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Mechanical Maintenance service provider that specializes in the design, manufacture, and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders and circuits and mechanical maintenance support to the region. We are a member of Hydroil Pty Ltd, an Australian manufacturer of the highest quality hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders since 1964. Our services support multiple industries such as mining, marine, construction, transport, energy, automation, and customized technology for industrial markets within Australia and globally.
We are looking for Full Time Permanent Hydraulic Fitters / Mechanical Technicians to join our dynamic team in both Adelaide and our Whyalla locations. These Full-Time opportunities are available for immediate start.
As a successful applicant, you will have a strong drive to succeed, be self-motivated, work well with others, and be able to promote a safety-conscious environment. The position reports to the General Manager and requires working Monday to Friday for 45 hours per week. FIFO and LAHA options are available for the right candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform all types of maintenance work on hydraulic and mechanical systems and equipment.
- Perform hydraulic circuit fault finding and diagnostic work.
- Hydraulic and mechanical assembly fitting
- Repair and overhaul of hydraulic and mechanical components
- Quality awareness
- You will be trained to create and compile accurate and concise service reports.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Mechanical trade qualified or similar
- Good problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- A strong work ethic, respectful, positive attitude, and a desire to take ownership.
- Complex problem-solving skills
- High level of interpersonal skills to work within a team environment.
- Ability to read detailed drawings and understand basic engineering documents.
