What You Will Be Doing
The Grade 2Music Therapist is responsible for the delivery of high quality, evidence based music therapy programs to consumers engaging with services within PHMHS. The music therapy service actively supports people as they strive to improve their health, functioning and wellbeing through a recovery focused and strengths based framework.
Music Therapists are members of the Wellness Clinic that incorporates multi-disciplinary community based physical health and psychosocial interventions within a recovery orientated model.
The Grade 2Music Therapist provides supervision to Masters of Music Therapy students from the University of Melbourne.
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
• Current or pending registration as a Music Therapist (RMT) with the Australian Music Therapy Association Inc.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the delivery of individual and group music therapy programs in a hospital and/or mental health setting
• Well developed working knowledge of and a commitment to models of strengths based practice and recovery in mental health
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise competing tasks while working in a fast paced environment
• Experience in providing clinical supervision to music therapy tertiary students

* Please refer to salary circular for VICTORIAN PUBLIC MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2021-2024 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
