Automation and Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Australia Pacific

Your New Role…

We have an exciting opportunity to join our global powerhouse in this newly created role that sits in our Engineering and Technology team. You will support the delivery of the Australia/Pacific (AP) Asset Care Strategy through the best practice implementation and compliance of Automation and Controls Sites, in line with current industry best practice and CCEP standards. Strategic collaboration with API Engineering & Technology direction to apply innovation and best fit practical applications for Supply Chain.

Critical to the success of the role will be to optimise the Maintenance programs across our network of key Statutory Automation and Control Systems, performance of LV /HV distribution and data networks to a PLC level to ensure that the immediate and future needs and objectives of the CCEP AP Supply Chain are met/exceeded regarding safety, cost, quality, environment, and service levels through excellence in Asset Care.

You will support a team of senior Maintenance Leaders to lead and facilitate the implementation of best practices, reliability engineering capability & systems across manufacturing. You will support manufacturing sites in achieving targets through optimising machine uptime and utilisation with best practice maintenance costs.

This role will provide high level support in implementing Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Ways of Working and World Class Maintenance processes (policies, procedures, systems, and standards), auditing the condition of key Systems / Assets, and supporting improvement activities designed to meet business objectives of reducing Unplanned Downtime and Cost / Case.

It is expected that the position will hold an area of technical expertise and contribute to the organisational development and retention of knowledge, processes and standards related to that expertise.

Key Responsibilities Include…

  • Deploy Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Automation and Electrical Strategy and Standards into relevant Site Implementation Plans across Australia and Pacific Manufacturing Sites.
  • Work with teams across Logistics and Operations Sites as well as on your own with a high level of autonomy and decision-making ability.
  • Successful implementation of Capex and Process improvement projects and implementation of asset management improvement processes
  • Communicate a compelling and inspired vision to State and AP Engineering (partners) and Logistics and Manufacturing Teams (customers) resulting in alignment of business goals.
  • Successfully implement multiple and competing process and plant improvement projects with strong continuous improvement focus.
  • Challenge the status quo and develop logical and innovative solutions to old problems with exceptional fault-finding and coaching skills.
  • Anticipate risks and develop high quality Improvement Plans to support delivery of Business objectives.
  • Subject Matter Expertise in Automation and Electrical systems and technology across Coca-Cola Europacific Partners AP Supply Chain.
  • Implementation and execution of CCEP AP Asset Care Strategy across Manufacturing and Logistics Sites.
  • Stewardship for Instrumentation, Control and Manufacturing Systems and Standards.
  • Stewardship of all Version Management and Cyber-Security systems and processes across all AP Sites inclusive of Team Member Capability and Escalations.
  • Leading & coordinating the OT Cyber program including training Site personal and working as a conduit (as required) between BPT and Site Electrical Teams.
  • Leadership of Electrical Systems including Maintenance.
  • Coach and Support Production to leverage diagnostics and information in the automation system.
  • Compliance with regulations / Implementation of safe engineering work practices.
  • Engineering standards, CMMS, systems & protocols based on Operational Excellence and World Class Maintenance.
  • Supporting Sites in reviewing Spare Parts Management; optimising stock holdings and storage condition and criticality analysis for Automation and Electrical requirements and importantly, identification and mitigation of Infrastructure / Obsolescence opportunities.
  • Supporting Engineering and Electrical Tradesperson Capability programs across AP Supply Chain.

What do you need to be successful?

  • Tertiary or Trade qualification in relevant Technical discipline(s).
  • 10+ years' Experience in Beverage or FMCG Supply Chain.
  • A broad understanding of processing and packaging in FMCG including local and industry trends, key equipment suppliers and contractors. Expert knowledge of Automation (Electrical, Instrumentation & Control) and a Working Knowledge of Manufacturing Information Systems.
  • Uses fact-based analysis or benchmarking to establish new ways of doing things that have delivered a higher level of performance beyond expectations.
  • High level process improvement skills with analytical ability and strategic problem-solving skills (root cause analysis, process improvements & corrective actions).
  • Ability to easily work with Site partners and to influence outcomes; proven ability to motivate and inspire people at all levels to build a high achievement team.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams, capital, continuous improvement teams and strategic problem solving.
  • Ability to leverage automation skills and principles to a broad cross section of technical disciplines.
