The Role:
As the National People & Culture Manager, you'll be a driving force in nurturing our company culture and fostering an environment where everyone can thrive. This strategic role involves overseeing national initiatives that empower our team members and support our diverse and dynamic logistics operations.
Location: Melbourne or Sydney
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for HR functions including talent acquisition, development, performance management, and team member engagement.
- Navigate the complexities of the logistics industry to align HR practices with business needs, ensuring agility and compliance across all national operations.
- Cultivate a positive work culture that embraces diversity, inclusivity, and continuous learning.
- Partner with the leadership team to enhance team member well-being and satisfaction, reduce turnover and drive organisational performance.
- Lead change management initiatives and act as a champion for internal communication, ensuring alignment with our core values and mission.
- Provide expert advice on best HR practices, legislation, and risk management.
- Drive initiatives that measure and improve team member experience and contribute to an employer brand that attracts top talent.
About You:
- A strategic thinker with an advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior HR role, ideally within the logistics or a related sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing people strategies aligned with business goals.
- Ability to foster strong relationships with senior leaders and influence stakeholders, providing strategic and operational counsel.
- Subject matter expert in Employment law, the Fair Work Act, Moderns Awards, NES and EA interpretation.
- Proven experience developing and leading change in a complex environment.
- Strong people leadership capability – with a demonstrated record of building strong and supportive teams.
- Ability to lead through ambiguity, confident in making decisions and problem solve.
- Strong writing skills and experience preparing board papers.
- Proven track record of leading successful HR initiatives and managing a diverse workforce.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proactive problem solver with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment who rolls up their sleeves and gets on with it.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with payroll/people management software and data driven decision making.
