YOUR ROLE
As a National Technical Manager based in Parkinson, QLD you will be responsible for the overarching technical support of the FRSA and FRSNZ service business'. This role is heavily focused on the technical and compliance areas of our service business, delivering a high level of support to our Service Manager ANZ and the workshop locations which reside throughout our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Development and Maintenance of safety documentation, centric to our service business. Assess risk, areas for improvement and gaps in our documentation to further support quality outcomes
- Tracking and monitoring of FRSA's assets, ensuring a high level of compliance is maintained
- Consistent review of FRSA's equipment capability, identification of gaps and reporting of future enhancements
- Identify our risk, compliance and gaps in the staff training space. Development and maintenance of training matrix's and assessment programs will be a key outcome of this duty.
- Provide full technical support to the Asset Management team and ensure processes are in line with company policies and safe work procedures. Assist with the compliance and development of ISO9001 activities and review with the team to ensure efficiencies are gained through regular review.
- Assess technician productivity on a regular basis vs the schedule available.
- Support the Service Manager - ANZ and their delegates to project manage any specific service tasks which require a higher level of competency project management skills. Liaise with clients, site access, installation quotation and work towards timely project delivery within planned cost restraints.
- Service Manual review and maintenance to ensure our team have access and training gaps addressed, due to OEM manual revisions. Communicate these revisions across the service business and update documentation accordingly.
- Assist in contract execution and tender documentation.
We are looking for individuals with a high level of initiative and self-motivation who can hit the ground running. Having worked in a similar role, you will have the proven technical skills as well as experience in project management, contract negotiation, tender preparation and developing/managing budgets paired with strong communication skills to liaise with clients and other stakeholders.
A strong focus on staff training and development as well as experience with drafting and maintenance of SOP/technical manuals and documentation is also a must.
The other essentials we are looking for are:
- Mechanical Trade Qualification and Experience 5+ years in a similar role.
- Certificate in OH&S desirable
- Diploma or Certificate in Management or Frontline Management Qualifications desirable
