Whether it’s a Friday-night feast, a post-gym poke bowl, or grabbing some groceries, our tech platform connects tens of millions of customers with hundreds of thousands of restaurant, grocery and convenience partners across the globe.The Sales Team Leader - Acquisition will support the Head of Acquisition in leading a team of sales employees to build and execute sales plans to ensure maximum numbers of restaurants are on the Menulog estate within Australia. This may include providing day to day mentoring and assistance to team members, along with helping the Head of Acquisition with administration and reporting requirements as requested. The Team leader will be responsible for ensuring the team, individually and as a group, hit their monthly and annual sales targets.All about the role:In this role, we're counting on you to:
- Working with the TA team to recruit new sales employees as vacancies arise
- Inducting new employees into the team, ensuring they are set up, trained and ready to succeed
- Supporting your sales employees on a day to day basis - being a point of contact for day to day queries, helping with processes, assisting with structuring time and sales pitches to ensure your employees are reaching targets
- Providing sales reporting and monitoring the weekly progress of your sales team
- Working with HR to investigate and conduct any required disciplinary meetings
- Conducting performance reviews for the members of your team
- Creating a collaborative, engaged and motivated team culture
- Conduct regular training to your employees, incorporating listening in on sales calls or accompanying employees to in field visits with team members, as required
- Work with relevant internal departments to ensure the team has a clean and fruitful lead list, identifying target areas, cuisines and restaurants
- Monitoring and reporting on competitor activity
- Making sales, when required to ensure your team target is hit
- Efficiently conducting management administration such as ensuring leave is entered and approved, resolving any commission queries, ensuring all paperwork completed etc
- Ad hoc project work and administrative tasks as requested by the Head of Acquisition
- 3+ years’ sales experience with a proven track record successfully delivering/exceeding targets
- Demonstrable people leadership ability (either formal people management experience or informal mentoring)
- Inspirational coaching style; demonstrated ability to coach the team in multitasking, prioritisation and being strategic in how they approach their targets; comfortable providing constructive feedback as required
- Team player who wants to contribute to creating an inclusive, safe and fun environment and culture for your team
- An understanding of how an ecommerce platform can benefit individual small business and the ability to sell the benefits of ecommerce to a small business that has little or no digital presence
- Strong salesforce skills (able to pull reports, analyse data) preferred
- Proven analytical skills and high attention to detail; natural affinity to processes and understanding those would be a benefit
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to sell and present ideas in a compelling way, adjusting your style to a wide variety of audiences
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Hardworking and ‘get the job done at all costs’ attitude
- Resilient, competitive and exceptionally target driven
- Fast learner with the ability to think on your feet
- The ability to move quickly to meet short lead times for proposals, ensuring client objectives are met
- The ability and willingness to travel regularly across Australia as required
