Non-Exec Director (Finance)

Our client is seeking an accomplished Non-Executive Director (NED) with finance and accounting skills to join their board. You will join other senior board members who have strong business, legal, technology and defence sector experience to set and oversee the next phase of growth of this high technology, high potential company within Australia and overseas.
In addition to board responsibilities, including attendance at seven board meetings a year, the NED will also have responsibility for mentoring the company CFO.
The ideal candidate will have:

• Financial qualifications, accounting degree, or economics degree with an accounting major leading to Chartered Accountant or membership of CPA Australia.
• CFO experience, preferably as a CFO of both listed and unlisted companies, ideally having been part of driving the journey from unlisted to listed.
• Strong commercial as well as financial skills; been part of corporate decision making, including budgeting, capital allocation, capital raising, M&A, project financing.
• Leadership skills to chair the Finance Committee of the Board.
• Passion for commercializing technology.
