About us: BreastScreen Queensland provides free breast cancer screening for all eligible Queensland women. Women aged from 50 to 74 years are particularly encouraged to visit a BreastScreen Queensland Service every two years, as increasing age is the biggest risk factor in developing breast cancer. Women from the age of 40 and those choosing to continue screening after 75 are also eligible to attend for a BreastScreen. BreastScreen is the only BreastScreen Australia accredited breast cancer screening provider in CQ offering free screening and assessment, to eligible women, using digital mammography technology. About the role: The Nurse Manager BreastScreen possesses the knowledge and experience to provide management and leadership in the coordination of patient centred care to achieve the Breast Screen Queensland and Queensland Health organisational goals. About you: To be successful in this role you must have: Mandatory qualification/s: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position. Demonstrated expert knowledge of contemporary quality and safety practice and theory and the ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines and standards, that enables safe delivery of care. Demonstrated expertise to develop and implement training and assessment programs specific to quality and safety/clinical governance and participate in, and apply learnings from, research projects. Demonstrated expertise to support the integration of the strategic direction and priorities aligned to the national standards, clinical governance quality improvement into the clinical service and patient centred care, establishing a quality framework.
