About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic Nurse Practitioners with interests in Primary Health Care. You will be part of a supportive team of clinicians providing accessible care via telehealth.
The successful NP will enjoy independence and will be able to use their initiative within the role. You will provide a telehealth service, conducting consults regarding nicotine management and more. We are offering a flexible working location employing anywhere within Australia.

Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia including endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Post graduate qualifications at Masters level, in a NMBA approved program of study or relevant clinical specialty (excluding practitioners with narrow fields of sub-specialities including paediatrics, geriatrics, oncology, neonatology and midwifery.)
- Demonstrated high level knowledge and advanced clinical skills, competence and leadership in assessment, treatment and management of patients within Primary Care Setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and accountability while also working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary and multi service environment.
- Practice autonomously using advanced clinical assessment/reasoning skills to provide care to patients in accordance with Nurse Practitioner legislation and within the designated scope of practice including:
- Patient assessment and diagnosis.
- Prescribing medications according to the PBS.
- Ordering and analysing diagnostic investigations for pathology and radiology.
- Referring patients to other health care professionals and managing referrals from other health care professional’s clinicians.
6. Maintain clear notes and medical records from patient consultations.
7. Good communication skills, compassion and a good phone manner is imperative.
8. Conduct consultations with patients and determine their needs via telehealth.
Desirable Criteria
- Prior experience working within Primary Care or Telehealth.
- Prior use of Best Practice software.
- Computer literacy in MS Word/Excel, Email and an electronic medical record / referral system.
